Outdoor Practice Facility
90 Acre Campus, Playfield Park and Ozinga Field
Midwest Prep Baseball practices on a 90 acre campus. The campus includes a synthetic turf and grass football/soccer fields, all weather track and 3 lighted softball fields.
There are 2 lighted baseball fields on the site which our program can use to practice our skills. These fields are irrigated and maintained with precise care and precision. Each outdoor practice can be played up to a 3 hour sessions depending on the schedule provided by the coaching staff.
Midwest Prep will also practice at the historic Playfield Park. Playfield Park is a great alternative to Ozinga Field. Ozinga Field has a synthetic surface while Playfield Park exhibits a natural turf. In fact, the surface at Playfield Park is one of the finest infields in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. This surface is manicured on a daily basis by the caretakers of the field. Midwest Prep is one of the only programs of its type to have the opportunity to practice on both regular grass and artificial turf. When our student-athletes reach the collegiate level, they have the experience of playing on both surfaces.
In addition to the sports campus, Midwest Prep will also practice at Ozinga Field which is home to the Windy City ThunderBolts professional baseball team. It is one of the most used ballparks in the country. This 2,600 seat facility provides its teams with a synthetic surface with perfect drainage and playability.
Ozinga Field provides Midwest Prep with the “Big League” feel when playing at colleges and universities. Our players utilize this facility by using outdoor batting cages, dugouts, synthetic field and the entire atmosphere of a professional ballpark.
