What teams do you play during the year or do you just play intrasquad?

During the year, based on availability, we play University and College JV level teams at the Division I, II, and III level. Also we will play Community College teams for exposure. Our student-athletes will gain attention and competition opportunities against top college and university teams. All of our games will be away for the College coaches to see you in person on the field.

Do you video the games we play against College teams?

Yes, Midwest Prep films all games for reviewing techniques and form. Then we will review the video with you to improve your skills. Also, our coaches will assist you in editing your film and then assist you in sending your film to the higher level programs for exposure and scholarship opportunities.

If I am ineligible as a high school senior, can I enroll even if I did not play my senior year?

Yes, you can play if you have not played your senior year or if you have been out of high school for a year or two. Individuals can come back and have a second chance for the opportunity at the next level. In many cases, the student-athlete has a greater physical and emotional advantage than the high school graduate.

Does the Academy teach College classes?

No, Midwest Prep does not teach College courses. We recommend every student-athlete to take a part-time College load of hours so you do not fall behind in your course work. The Academy wants you to accumulate hours then transfer those credits to the College setting.

Is there time in the day to take College classes?

Yes, the Academy will schedule College class time for your classes. Also, there will be mandatory study times for all student-athletes scheduled into your busy day.

Do you accept financial aid?

No, the Academy does not accept Federal or State financial aid.

What is the application and acceptance rate?

The process is competitive. The baseball program has a limited amount of positions on the team. Midwest Prep is selective because of quality and limited amount positions. Since individuals apply and we recruit from around the country, there is a selective process.
